Yamhill-Carlton Child Development Center is a grassroots organization brought forth by collaborative efforts of individuals and existing community organizations.

The hours of our facility reflect the needs of the working parent, we also offer before/after school care to better serve our community. 6am-6pm M-F.

YCCDC facilitates two classroom currently, a farm-to-preschool classroom for 3-5 year old’s, and an infant/ toddlers room for our youngest learners.

Both of our programs are designed to support learning in all areas of development, by utilizing practice-based methods and developmentally appropriate instruction. YCCDC strives to foster community and education through practices that reflect the need of the community and foster inclusion.

One of YCCDC goals is to better align already existing organizations with those who need of it the most, enabling our struggling families to find relief and sustainable solutions to systemic problems.

Community is a valued aspect of our organization’s practices, and we strive to demonstrate our civic responsibilities through our daily tasks. We recognize the need to foster meaningful relationships in order to promote self growth and professional development.

  1. Hi Laurie,
This is Emma Jane Todd’s grandmother. I enjoyed talking to you last Saturday about the School.
I think Emma’s Mom – Alexandra and I are interested in signing up. Emma is so ready for school.
(As in last week and everyday now). I am disappointed and concerned about the delay to Sept. 26th.
It seemed Tuesday – September 6th would have been Ideal for us. Im wondering if there is anyway to “make do” for those 3 weeks? Im not sure of the building situation but If there was anyway to make it work, we would be very interested in getting signed up. I wonder if there are other Mom’s that feel the same way? For now, I don’t think we will drop out of the Carlton grade school class. Thanks!
look forward to hearing from you.

  2. Is there a contact I could get to receive more information? I would love to set up a time to learn more.

    1. We will be moving in Sept 1st to the classroom, and welcome parents and community members to stop by and check us out. We will also be hosting an Open House Sept 8th!
We are housed in the basement of the First Baptist Church of Carlton. 500 W Main St.
Thank you again for your interest and patience as things progress.

  3. This program sounds amazing! How do I enter my child in this program? Is this a daycare set up taught with learning objectives and food served?

    1. Joylin thank you for your interest! Yes, our program is designed around developmentally appropriate learning objectives for early learners, and family style meals served. We will have a booth at Fun Days with a full parent packet, and staff available to answer any other questions.

We can also meet at a now so busy time– Laurie
